Quality product, lifetime warranty, excellent customer service
I love amazon.com, today my order came in with the drain tool Superior Tools 6020 Tub Drain Wrench, Fits 1/2-Inch and 3/8-Inch Ratchet, the Danze drain, and other goodies. The Danze came in a store display plastic form fitting pack so they arrived without scratches. I examined the Danze drain and found it is made from a heavy brass casting that was much nicer than the die cast junk I used to have.
While examining the drain I noticed the O-ring had a gouge in it. I called the tech support line and they sent a new one free of charge via priority mail. That really impressed me.
Using the tool I easily removed the old drain, and using GE Bath Silicone II I installed the Danze drain and the new overflow cover. NO more leaks, a limited lifetime warranty, no more die cast to swell and lose its finish and leak and the wife is happy.

Be careful about fit
Insofar as I can tell, there are two "standard" sizes of drains. The larger size has coarse threads and the smaller has fine threads. Most tub drains now come with the smaller fine threads on the body of the drain, and a coarse threaded "sleeve" that screws onto the fine thread body. This will fit either size drain, i.e., for the larger drain leave the sleeve on, and for the smaller drain, remove the sleeve, and screw in the fine thread body. Unfortunately, this item comes with a coarse thread body only, which I could not use and had to return.
High Quality Product
I purchased this product to replace a similar bathtub drain assembly that had recently failed. The shipping was quick, product well packaged, and everything arrived in good order.
The instructions were thorough, tools provided were adequate, and the overall product was of high quality. The finish is exactly as portrayed in the photograph on Amazon, and the brushed nickel has a pleasant feel that is easily gripped in bath water.
