Went on great on a 1/2" Nipple
I bought a $21 steel w/plastic components universal spout at Menard's.. Just didn't do the job.. Leaked behind the wall as I inspected the installation. Total junk.
Went off on a limb and trusted the plumber recommending it on here. The spout itself is actually a plastic oriented spout.. but the components connecting it were solid brass. I was a skeptic until I cranked it on.. Felt a LOT better than the other spout that leaked. Ran water 10 minutes, no leaks whatsoever.. Looks good, I haven't had a spout with a down-pulling diverter in at least a decade. I always trust Delta's products. Ever since buying a home, I only buy Delta. Quality stuff, folks.
Simple solution to those 1/2" nipples out there looking for a good tub spout with an easy installation and NO leaks.
Be sure to buy yourself some pink teflon tape and PFTE paste prior to the installation. Use teflon tape on the nipple and paste on the brass adapter provided by Delta. Worked great...

Best diverter spout money can buy
I do plumbing for a living. This really is the best diverter spout out there, the only one I recommend to my customers.
Perfect and fit like a charm
