It is a drain that works nicely
I don't really know what else to say - you pick a Kohler tub, it points you to one of these, you click on 'buy' and your plumber installs it. It is attractive and functional.

Very attractive
This drain complements quite well the Moen brushed nickel tub-and-shower trim kit (which includes shower, faucet, and handle) that we used in one bathroom in a traditional tub. It operates very smoothly and feels very solid.
One important caution: We had this unit installed by our remodeling contractor, and when I tested it later by deliberately splashing water up against the overflow drain, it leaked to the floor below. This was not Kohler's fault, but my contractor's, and they came back and fixed it and made it right. But if you get this unit, tell your installer to be *sure* to get that overflow outlet installed snugly against the tub and test it, watching with a flashlight, to be sure there's no leak, because the contractor says these Kohlers are a little tricky to get snug. He says once you know how to do it, it's easy. You just need to watch it carefully.
Kohler toe tap drain kit
I am impressed with the quality of this drain kit, much nicer than the cheap, thin pvc type. I also liked that it fit in a smaller space, the second floor remodel doesn't have the space under the floor to fit a more bulky drain kit.
