Lumex Chrome Grab Bar, 32"
Not as good as others we had installed professionally in another bathroom. This had no rubber gasket to mount under the mounting plates. I had to use silicone caulk to apply under the plate. Without it, the risk is that water will drip down the tile wall, get behind the plate, and get into the mounting holes, and into the wall, to damage plaster and wallboard behind. The directions did not address this issue in any way.
With the holes as they are, there is no way to hit a stud even with one-half of the supplied stainless steel screws. I had to drill 9/16" holes through ceramic tile and plaster to use "molly" type anchors. In addition I had to buy stainless steel machine screws to replace the zinc plated screws that come with anchors. If you don't use stainless screws, you are sure to have rust in the shower

Super value- review responsive company too!
First, disregard some older reviews. These great ONE INCH diameter bars do have the RUBBER SUPPORT WASHER and STAINLESS STEEL screws. Check screws with a magnet- all iron and plain steel is magnetic, most stainless steels are not. I credit this company (GF Health) or Amazon for great customer support or response!! IMPRESSED. I misread the listing, and was expecting 1 1/2 inch bars. The listing says the bar is 1 1/2 inches from wall, when mounted. Due to the quality and sturdiness of the product, I am not concerned about the smaller size diameter. I bought the 32" ones as well- they are just as good and have the good hardware pack too.
Excellent all-purpose grab bar
Good finish quality with comfortable knurled grips, both came with rubber gaskets. The 1 1/4" diameter is easier to grip than 1 1/2" in our application. Installed for disability assistance but everyone (including myself) finds them handy. Least expensive bars (with free shipping)on Amazon--great value.
