We are updating our '60s era bathroom, and chose the American Standard R110 pressure balance valve body to go with our bath and shower trim kit. The unit is well made and was relatively easy to install, as it came with ample printed installation instructions. So far, it has performed flawlesly, and the pressure balance feature is an added bonus. If your a home reno DIY'er, like myself, looking to save money on a major bathroom reno, this is a product well worth considering !

Nice small valve body
Replaced old valve body that was acting up (low hot water pressure despite replacing cartridge). Did all the work through faceplate access hole. Just turn off water, drain pipes, remove old faceplate, cut pipes close to valve body with sawzall, cut new short copper pipe lengths to fit between new body and pipe cuts, place fluxed sliding couplers, and solder. Install trim. Took me 4 hours but i am no pro, maybe 2 hours for pro. No damage to tile or wall as all work through faceplate hole. Works perfectly.
